If you are travelling in or around the Crediton area with little ones then it’s worth knowing about the Baobab Cafe in Crediton. It’s a quirky, super child friendly cafe serving Middle Eastern Food, including the no1 toddler favourite – Hummus and pittas, and they cater for vegans, vegetarians and meat eaters!
What’s so great about this cafe is that part of it has been sectioned off as a children’s play area. When I say play area I’m not talking soft play, I’m talking books, games, toys, a dolls house, toys and ride ons (which the staff are quite happy for your little ones to ride around the cafe whilst you eat)!
This cafe is one of the only ones that I have come across which has been designed with adults and children in mind. Although my little one loves a soft play area, it’s not really a place I would choose to go for a nice lunch (or at all if i’m being 100% honest). At this cafe you can sit down and enjoy a delicious meal (not just the standard sandwich, panini, jacket potato or chips which are usually served in child friendly places) whilst your little one plays which takes the stress out of eating out.
I will definitely be returning – the only negative that I have is that I didn’t know about it sooner!
